It is almost two months since Zimbabwe's opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, shook hands with Robert Mugabe to put the seal on the country's new coalition government.
The BBC is still banned from the country - but reporter, Sue Lloyd-Roberts went to Zimbabwe with a hidden camera to ask whether life had got better.
Game keepers told her that Zimbabwe's starving millions had resorted to poaching wild animals to find food.
UK viewers can watch more of Sue Lloyd Roberts' report from Zimbabwe on Newsnight: BBC2 10.30pm.
