Black Leaders Who Bashed Obama Still Hating 100 Days Later

Reverend Jesse Jackson watched from backstage a massive and enthusiastic crowd shout "OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA!" If humans could sprout bubble captions, his most likely read: "Young punks! So naive, with all their 'colorblind' bulls@*t....should've been me." While most political analysts would say Obama learned from the failed attempts of former black presidential candidates by appealing to, not only the black community, the masses, Jackson shamed him for his political smarts.

Most people remember the inappropriately shocking crude remarks that were made about Obama when Reverend Jackson thought he was having a private conversation off air during a TV appearance on Fox News. Jackson should have known that Fox is not the network to make statements about what he'd like to do with Obama's man parts, and officially confirm his hypocrisy. "Talking down to black people, telling n---as how to behave. I want to cut his nuts off," is what came from the mouth of the prolific civil rights leader who once launched a campaign to ban the use of the "n word." Right wing media had a field day with this candid footage because it ultimately displayed a lack of unity in within black leadership. Thank you Jesse Jackson.

Perhaps the more disheartening part, is Reverend Jackson is one of many popular black figures and political underachievers who hated on Obama. Even after 100 days in office, the naysayers offer up critiques adn the reluctance to support the president is painfully obvious.

According to NewAmericaMedia.com, Reverend Jackson said in a telephone interview from Thailand that he gives the Obama an "incomplete" on his first 100 days as president. "There are some As and a couple of incompletes," he said. "There's an incomplete on the stimulus because it must be more targeted to get to the bottom. As the states get it, they're using the term "shovel-ready." But, shovel-ready for those who don't have a shovel because of the lack of capital and lack of credit means they may not be ready. That could be seen as boot straps without the boots."

Tavis Smiley was also among those who did not support Barack Obama and allegedly quit the Tom Joyner Morning Show due to all the flack he caught from listeners who supported the democratic rockstar. Smiley spoke about Obama's first 100 days with CBS's Harry Smith, but mainly used the airtime to promote his book called Accountable. This is what he said: "What this book, 'Accountable,' does, Harry, is lays out 242 promises that candidate Obama made on the major issues that matter to most Americans. You can follow along on these major issues, promises made ought to be promises kept. Here's the short answer, at the rate he's moving right now, he will have a completion rate of about 66% at the end of his first term, given the major promises he made on the major issues. That said, while he has signed seven major bills into law in the first 100 days, that's seven more than George Bush did in his first 100 days, that's still a grade of a 'D' at 66%."

The most flagrant criticism came from Republican representative Alan Keys, who lost the Illinois Senate race to Obama in 2004 and made a bid for the 2008 presidential race to no avail. Keys even refuses to acknowledge Obama as the president. This is what he had to say in an interview with KHAS-TV, "Obama is a radical communist, and I think it is becoming clear. That is what I told people in Illinois and now everybody realizes it's true. He is going to destroy this country, and we are either going to stop him or the United States of America is going to cease to exist. Is he president of the United States? I'm not sure he's even president of the United States."

Perhaps the three should collaborate and create a new party. Here's a party color suggestion: envy green.
